Moondrop Kato meaning?

When I get things in my life that I enjoy I'm always cautious of the origins and meaning for my own peace of mind. I just don't want to wear things or have things that might have underlined meaning behind them that I might not agree with. I don't want to wake up one morning after spending $1000 on a pair of glasses, only to find out that the maker created the glasses through financing child porn or something. And so one of the easiest and obvious ways to look into a product and its origins is to look up it's name meaning.

So Kato as describe above is twofold. In one meaning it means "Wise". But in another meaning it could mean "Second of Twins". Now, I could pick one or the other by right but I think it's both. I also believe the meaning does indeed reveal its origins and purpose. If you are not new to IEM'S or Moondrop ...you will know that the Kato has a predecessor. The Moondrop Kxxs was the model before this. In fact that model was the foundation of the new technology and sound research they put into this IEM. And if you look at the kssx ...you will notice something very familiar.

These models look almost identical. Now sure looking alike isn't the only thing that ties these models together because the same thing could be said about the "Kanas" model before the Kssx. But what I think ties them into things is the way they created their new sound profile just before Kxxs.

This is what makes the Kato stand out as one of the very best IEM. This same research, started in the kssx was projected in the Kato but more refined version, delivering top timbre and resolution levels in your music without killing off any of the mids, treble or bass. So in way, looking at the Kxxs vs the Kato..what you will fine is the 2nd of Twins but a wiser version of the two. Hence, the meaning of the name Kato. It has the same root DNA but better, making it the more attractive of the two. Moondrop also makes sure every package of the Kato is stamped with the reminder of the DNA origins of the Kxxs. This is their way of honoring the foundational stamp the Kxxs had for their company while moving on from it, putting the Kato in its place.
